We're coming to the end of another school year. We will now have 2 middle schoolers and 1 elementary schooler. We've had some challenging, but very rewarding moments as we've seen each child improve.
(Son #1 in his school gym.)
Son #1 received a medal for "Most Mature Science Student" in the entire middle school. He also got a trophy for "Best 7th Grade History Student". (This is one moment I wish we had sound with our digital camera!!! To hear all the nice things said about your child. Just knowing that when he's away from you, he's still a great kid.)
Son #2 received this award for a project he produced for his possible future careers. He interviewed the bass guitarist for a local area band and a movie producer. He got to see the band in an competition in which they were the winners. He also was able to be an "extra" in one of the movie producers' films. R.O.P.E.S. stands for Rites Of Passage ExperienceS. The school presents actual ropes to 5th, 8th, & 12th grade students after their successful completion of their projects.
All in all.... a very rewarding awards Friday!
