Remote Control

All sons were asked to get dressed for bedtime during a commercial of the show that we were all watching. Son #2 got done first and sat where Son #1 had been sitting. Son #1 tried to move Son #2 away for his position on the couch.

Son #2: Oh, man!
Mom to Son #2: You like that seat, huh?
Son #2: No, he just wants the remote.
Mom to Son #2: Is that right?
Son #2: Yeah, he's like the government!
Mom to Son #2: Why is that?
Son #2: Because he wants to control everything. He likes to change the channel to shows that he likes not the ones that we (Son #2 & Son #3) like.

(hmmm... just like the government?)

40th Birthday Surprise Treats

Hardworking Dad turned 40 this last week.
The whole family joined him for lunch at Carl's Jr.

He's not one for big celebrations,
so Very-Involved Mom wanted to surprise him with .. Tiramisu.
If you know the treat, it usually involves coffee and rum extract.
She made 2 different nonalcoholic and caffeine-free Tiramisu recipes.
4 out of the 6 in our family did the taste testing.

Those who tried the two recipes thought they both tasted good.
However, we all liked Mitch's more than the other.

Son #1- Yosemite Campout

2 rattlesnakes, 1 bear cub, camper's next to us saw mother bear and cub. hiked about 14 miles to and from rancheria falls campground, 7 miles to and from nevada falls. about 20 scouts and 6 leaders, good view, half of the boys went over rancheria falls (not me) and other half through falls . saw 5 waterfalls and a lot of switchbacks. ( zig-zags in a mountain on a trail)

Movie Reviews - Son #3

On Saturday, May 30, 2009, my dad and I went to see
Night at the Museum 2: Battle of the Smithsonian.


The movie is about Larry Daley starting a company and the Museum of Natural History closes down. The tablet of Ahkmenrah is accidentally taken by Dexter the Monkey to the Smithsonian in Washington DC.

My favorite part was the part when Octavius and Jedediah kept stabbing the bad guy's feet! It was hilarious!

I would give this movie 4 1/2 stars.
